Some of you may have heard me speaking in recent weeks of a "secret misson" to be carried out around this time. No, I didn't join a cult, nor was I plotting to bring one down. Nothing quite so....crazy. Life's been challenging enough without that flavour of paranoid delusional drama. No, it was a corporate misson labelled by one colleague as "Operation Dolphin Trainer." See, I was invited by the company to fly out to Calgary to take an existing radio station -- and flip 'er. As of 6 o'clock this morning (local time, which is way different than the clock I finally got used to), oldies station CFFR became 660News , All News Radio. My sincere apologies to anyone who was left out of the loop or kept vaguely in the dark on this one.
